Comedian-actor Ray Romano, star of the CBS comedy “Everybody Loves Raymond,” and country superstar Reba McEntire have been tabbed to co-host the 24th Annual People’s Choice Awards honoring favorites in 15 TV, film and music categories.
Show originates from Barker Hangar at the Santa Monica Airport on Jan. 11, airing tape-delayed to the West Coast at 9 p.m. on CBS.
McEntire is a six-time People’s Choice Award winner. She is credited with having sold more than 35 million records.
Also, Tim Allen (“Home Improvement”), David James Elliott (“JAG”), Melissa Joan Hart (“Sabrina, the Teenage Witch”) and Lea Thompson (“Caroline in the City”) have been set as the show’s initial group of presenters.
This year’s People’s Choice Awards is again being directed by Louis J. Horvitz, who will also serve as co-producer. Daily Variety columnist Army Archerd, who has been associated with the ceremony since its inception, will again handle coordinating producer chores.
