So it seems there was a little error down at the L.A. County Dept. of Health Services, and B-Right’s, the food service that operates the commissary inside KCBS-TV, wasn’t delinquent on its annual health license payment after all, as was reported Wednesday.
John Schunhoff, acting director of public health programs and services for the county, said Thursday that, despite what had been threatened earlier in the week, the facility will not be shut down today, and no $586 payment is due.
“The owner had told us he paid the fee back in October,” Schunhoff said. “We looked back in the records, and we found he did pay. It was processed on Nov. 7.”
The health inspectors were evidently operating off of a delinquent list that was printed out by the Treasury Tax Collector, Schunhoff added. “It was either an old list, or it hadn’t been properly credited on the computer.”
Whoops. Never mind.
