Paramount Domestic TV has tapped Joachim Blunck as executive producer of its upcoming syndie talkshow with Howie Mandel.
Par says the talk/variety strip has been cleared for a June 1998 debut on TV stations covering more than 75% of U.S. TV households.
Blunck comes to Par after a 13-year stint with Fox Inc. He most recently served as executive VP of programming and production for Twentieth Television, where he helped create and manage the production of Fox Broadcasting Co.’s morning show “Fox After Breakfast,” among other programs for network, syndication and cable.
From 1990-93, Blunck was exec producer of “Good Day New York,” a live local morning show on Fox O&O WNYW. He also was a co-creator and producer of the syndie tabmag “A Current Affair” and Fox’s primetime newsmag “The Reporters.”
