Fox Broadcasting Co. is creating a new marketing division that will be headed by veteran broadcast design-ers-producers Jim Cahill and Jim Atkinson.
Cahill and Atkinson are credited with creating NBC’s “seamless format” in 1994, which allows the network to promote programming efforts during end credits of shows. The duo will report to Stacey Marks-Bronner, executive vice president of marketing for Fox Broadcasting Co.
Cahill and Anderson are charged with designing and producing elements for a new on-air look for Fox that will be put in place down the road.
“We’re setting the bar very high as we reposition this network,” Fox TV president and chief operating officer David Hill said.
In a joint statement, Cahill and Atkinson said Fox has gone from “an unknown brand to an unprecedented success in short order,” and that their mission is to make Fox “America’s favorite television brand.”
