NEW YORK – A&E has bought the 100-minute concert special “Ira Gershwin: The Centenary Event,” produced last month in London by Euro Arts-Primetime and H.D. Thames.
Devised and directed by Hugh Woolridge, the concert featured performances by Maureen McGovern, Lorna Luft, Daniel Benzali, Leslie Caron and Larry Adler. The hosts were Charles Dance and David Soul. Christina Thomas, president of Primetime Entertainment, engineered the sale to A&E.
