Janet Burrows has joined the Wolper Organization as vice president of development and will focus on the company’s production slate of telefilms and miniseries.

The Wolper Organization, headed by chairman David Wolper and president Mark Wolper, is one of the prolific producers of movies and miniseries. Its credits include “Roots,” “Roots: The Next Generation,” “North and South,” “Alex Haley’s Queen” and “The Thorn Birds.”

Burrows most recently was director of development at Davis Entertainment Television. While there, the company produced the upcoming NBC miniseries “Asteroid” and the ABC February sweeps telefilm “Fire on the Mountain.”

Prior to Davis, Burrows was director of development at Braverman Prods. and Little Apple Films.
