Impressed by the February sweeps performance, WNBC New York has renewed Universal Domestic TV’s talker “Sally Jessy Raphael” through 2002.
“Sally” averaged a 7.9/19 at 4 p.m. in New York for the sweeps. During the four weeks of overlapping the sweeps, “Sally” averaged a 4.6 in national Nielsen ratings, which was 12% ahead of its year-ago performance. The show was one of only three talkshows to show year-to-year improvement.
The renewal in the nation’s largest market is a vote of confidence in the talker’s long-term prospects for continued success.
