Vidmark Home Entertainment is changing its name to Trimark Home Video. The move is designed to more closely align the vid arm with the theatrical releases of parent Trimark Pictures.
THV execs said the change will also eliminate any confusion between the Vidmark and Trimark names.
“We felt that now was the time for the name change due to Trimark Pictures’ strong lineup of theatrical releases and our recent homevideo acquisitions,” said Don Gold, senior veep of video marketing and sales.
Trimark’s first vid bow under the new banner will be “Meet Wally Sparks,” the Rodney Dangerfield-starring comedy that was released theatrically earlier this year.
The new name will become effective on Thursday.
