HONG KONG — Turner Intl. has appointed two new vice presidents to oversee the sales and marketing of CNN Intl. and TNT & Cartoon Network in the Asia Pacific region.
The company named Gregg Creevey and Diane Schneiderjohn as vice presidents of network distribution and marketing. They will continue to be based in Hong Kong and will report to J. Michael Byrd, president of Turner Intl. Asia Pacific and president and managing director of Turner Broadcasting System Asia Pacific.
Creevey will handle the duties in Southeast Asia, Australia and the Pacific Islands. He was formerly vice president of sales for Turner Intl. and has been with the company for nine years.
Schneiderjohn will oversee operations in North Asia, the Indian subcontinent, Japan and the Philippines. Formerly vice president of marketing, Asia Pacific, for Turner Intl., Schneiderjohn joined the company two years ago. Before that she was vice president of marketing, programming and sales for Viacom Cable.
”The increased growth of the cable and satellite business in the Asia Pacific and the corresponding demand for Turner’s cable networks have made it necessary to increase the company’s distribution, marketing and affiliate relations efforts in the region,” Byrd said. ”Under the leadership of Creevey and Schneiderjohn, the Asia Pacific sales and marketing staff will continue to grow Turner’s network distribution business and provide further support to an expanding number of cable and pay TV affiliates.”
