Toon comedy on history set for Kids’ WB

“Histeria!,” an FCC-friendly half-hour animated comedy from Warner Bros. that focuses on great moments and people in history, has been tabbed to premiere on Kids’ WB in fall ’98.

The show, conceived by Warner Bros. Television Animation’s Tom Ruegger (who will executive produce “Histeria!”), looks at world history through quick comedy sketches, informational bits and songs, interviews with historical figures and re-enactments of well-known and not-so-well-known stories of the past.

Jean McCurdy, head of programming for Kids’ WB and prexy of Warner Bros. TV Animation, said of the show: “We believe there is no better way to serve up history to young people.”
