Specktor exits Jersey, nears Fox 2000 post

Matthew Specktor has ankled his post as Jersey Films’ New York-based VP of creative affairs, and according to sources will be heading up the Gotham outpost of Laura Ziskin’s Fox 2000.

Specktor will be replacing Michael Kaplan, who recently ankled his VP of production post at Fox 2000.

Specktor, the son of CAA agent Fred Specktor, has been with Jersey since 1994, when he was dividing his time searching for books for both Jersey and Tribeca Prods. He headed East last February when Jersey established its New York office. He began his career as a reader in CAA’s lit department and then worked at Francis Ford Coppola’s Zoetrope Prods.

Kaplan, a veteran of New York’s literary development world, joined Fox 2000 last July, filling the post formerly held by the late Raymond Bongiovanni.

Jersey Films spokesman Stan Rosenfeld confirmed Specktor’s ankling. Neither Kaplan nor Fox 2000 could be reached for comment.
