Writers Roger Soffer and Christian Ford have set up the computer-animated project “Nanobots” at Warner Bros. and Left Bank Prods., sources said.

The project, which the writers sold on a pitch for an undisclosed sum, will go into development with Soffer and Ford writing the script. They will serve as exec producers, with the Robert Lawrence-George Clooney company Left Bank producing for the studio.

The studio has a handful of animated and computer-generated projects it is considering to follow “The Quest for Camelot,” its first full-length animated feature, slated to be released in summer 1998.

“Nanobots” is about nano-size robots that go haywire inside an inventor’s workshop.

Soffer and Ford also have “Dogs of War” set up at Fox Family Films; action-thriller “The Listening Post” for producer Mark Gordon and Gary Levinsohn’s Cloud Nine Entertainment; and “Slow Burn,” to be produced by Soffer and directed by Ford.

Soffer and Ford are repped by Rima Greer of Above the Line Agency and attorney Jeffrey Blye.
