Reiner to be feted at People’s Choice

Rob Reiner will be honored with a special tribute at the 23rd Annual People’s Choice Awards – airing Sunday at 9 p.m. on CBS – that salutes the filmmaker’s impact on the TV and motion picture industries.

Reiner, whose latest directorial effort is “Ghosts of Mississippi,” has also directed such films as “When Harry Met Sally,” “Stand By Me,” “Misery,” “A Few Good Men,” “The Princess Bride” and “This is Spinal Tap.” He also won two Emmys for his acting as Mike Stivic in the 1970s CBS comedy classic “All in the Family.”

Past recipients of the People’s Choice career honor include Steven Spielberg, Ron Howard, Jodie Foster, Tom Hanks, Reba McEntire and Michael Douglas.
