Lindsey Bayman, who has helped structure deals on most of the slate of Mike Medavoy’s Phoenix Pictures, has been named senior VP of business and legal affairs for the Sony Pictures Entertainment-based company.
Recently, Bayman has overseen financing and production of the upcoming “Apt Pupil,” “U-Turn” and “Amy Foster” for Phoenix.
In her new slot, she will have oversight of all legal, business and production matters, and will report to Arnold Messer, president and chief operating officer of Phoenix.
“This promotion is a richly deserved reward for Lindsey and is our way of recognizing her achievements,” Messer said. “We have seen first-hand how her efforts and energy have helped to create a major position for Phoenix within the film community.”
Bayman joined Phoenix from the law firm of Gipson, Hoffman & Pancione. Before that, she was with the Denton Hall firm.
