People taps Rozen chief pic reviewer

Leah Rozen has been named chief movie critic at People magazine, a new post designed to consolidate its roster of reviewers.

Rozen, a People staffer since 1983, has reviewed films there since 1991 and was one of a rotating group of seven critics. While remaining an associate editor, Rozen will now write the bulk of the weekly mag’s film reviews, backed up by Ralph Novak and Tom Gliatto.

“We wanted one person who could represent People’s critical voice when it comes to movies, and she will be the front-and-center person,” a mag spokeswoman said.
