Pastorelli in ‘Cracker’

Robert Pastorelli, best known as Eldin the house painter on CBS’ “Murphy Brown,” has landed the lead role in ABC’s version of the British drama “Cracker,” which the Alphabet web is developing for next season.

Pastorelli will portray radio psychologist Fitzgerald in the show, which is being produced by Kushner-Locke with James Sadwith directing the pilot.

Besides his years on “Murphy Brown,” Pastorelli also started in the short-lived CBS series “Double Rush.” Both shows were Shukovsky-English productions.

Pastorelli has been doing feature work, and had parts in “Michael” and “Eraser.” His deal was negotiated by the Gage Group and his management company, Lasher, McManus, Robinson.
