Meredith Momoda has been upped to VP of promotions at Buena Vista TV, reporting to Mike Shaw, executive VP of ad sales at BVTV.

In her new position, Momoda will be in charge of all promotion efforts for syndication, animation and pay TV. She also will be responsible for the syndicated launch of Carsey-Werner’s off-net series “Grace Under Fire,” for which BVTV handles ad sales and promotions.

Momoda joined the Walt Disney Co. as manager of promotions in April 1995, and she most recently served as director of promotions, overseeing promos for the syndie run of BVTV’s off-net powerhouse “Home Improvement” and “Mighty Ducks: The Animated Series.”

She has orchestrated promotional tie-ins with Best Buy, McDonald’s, Mattel, Pillsbury, the National Hockey League, Kellogg’s and Campbell’s Soup. She’s also worked with General Motors for the February sweeps promotion, and sweepstakes on “Live With Regis & Kathie Lee.”
