PARIS — Mip TV, the Cannes-based TV market which this year runs April 11-16, has hit the Internet.
Reed Midem Organization, which owns the market, launched the Mip TV Web site Monday. Last year, the org put its Milia mart on the Web.
Industry execs who tap into (www.miptv.com) will have access to a combo of free material, such as how to register, market fees and exhib stand specifications, as well as general info about Cannes.
In addition, officially accredited participants will have access to special Web pages, in particular, updated lists of attending companies.
Exhibitors and producers can put a company profile and a presentation of three programs on the site for 2950 francs ($536). For an extra $127, sales companies can also include 30-second video clips of the three programs.
“The idea is to give the buyers early notice of what will be in the market and help them organize their market schedules well in advance,” a Reed Midem Organization exec said.
