WASHINGTON — Carol Melton is ankling Time Warner’s Washington lobbying shop to become Viacom’s top D.C. lobbyist.
Melton will be given the title of senior vice president, government affairs. Melton replaces Mark Weinstein, who is retiring effective January 1998. Melton will take over her new job on May 27.
“Carol is a key addition to Viacom’s senior management team,” said Philippe Dauman, Viacom deputy chairman. “Her depth of knowledge, energy and management capabilities make her extremely well-suited to lead our government relations (office).”
