AMSTERDAM — After-tax profits at Swedish commercial market leader TV4 fell to 15.1 million kroner ($2 million) in 1996, driven down from $20 million a year ago by a legal judgment against the company in favor of the giant Swedish group Kinnevik.

TV4 revenue slid slightly from $219 million to $218 million due to a “flat advertising market,” managing director Christer Forsstrom said.

The judgment ended a breach of contract dispute lodged some four years ago by the Kinnevik Group over TV4’s relationship to Kinnevik subsidiary Modern Times Group’s sales division Airtime. TV4 was ordered to pay $12 million to Kinnevik
