Landis lands at CAA

NEW YORK — Talent agent Scott Landis has joined Creative Artists Agency. He was pursued by all of the major agencies since ankling Innovative Artists last month (Daily Variety, Dec. 24, 1996).

Landis had been at Innovative for the past five years, most recently as vice president, where he built a solid client list of young talent from a New York base. At Innovative, his list included Liv Tyler, Alison Elliott (”The Spitfire Grill”), Edward Furlong, Geoffrey Wright (”Basquiat”) and Kevin Corrigan (”Walking and Talking”). Though de-tails were still being worked out, sources said most if not all of them will join Landis at CAA.

”I’m very excited to be here,” said Landis, who spent his first day at CAA headquarters Monday and is in the process of relocating from New York to Hollywood. “It feels like a great place to be.”
