Pubcaster KCET has merged its on-air, promotion and marketing departments with its public information functions to form a new department of communications that will be headed by former KCET VP of public infor-mation Barbara Goen.
Goen will now go by the title VP of communications.
Reporting to Goen are the KCET on-air promotion and on-air fundraising production divisions, headed by execu-tive producer Glenn Fukushima. Also under the new heading are KCET’s advertising, publicity and KCET maga-zine staffs, which operate under Laurel Lambert, director of advertising and promotion.
The new departmental restructuring is intended to focus increased attention on the KCET brand.
