Jim Bridges

Former talent agent Jim Bridges died Jan. 4 of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in North Hollywood. He was 58.

Bridges, a Baton Rouge native, formed the Jim Bridges Agency in the late 1970s. He closed the agency, which rep-resented actors and comedians, two years ago due to ill health.

He is survived by two sons, actors Todd Bridges and J.D. Bridges; two daughters, actress Verda Bridges and Shayna Bridges; and three granddaughters, actresses Penny Bae Bridges, Brooke Bridges and Rachel.

Family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations in his name be sent to: Prodigal Youth, PO Box 5651, Compton, CA 90224.
