Connery, Douglas pass on 'Pathfinder'

Don’t look for Michael Douglas and Sean Connery to join together for Paramount Pictures’ actioner “Pathfinder” any time soon. Both have taken a look-see at the Mace Neufeld/Robert Rehme project and have passed. Sources said the studio is now out to Arnold Schwarzenegger, who had previously been interested in the international espionage thriller. Coincidentally, the project that Schwarzenegger was circling at Warner Bros. — “I Am Legend,” based on the cult novel by Richard Matheson — could end up being a Douglas vehicle.
