Gibson looking into 'Snake Eyes'

Mel Gibson is eyeing “Snake Eyes” at Paramount Pictures as his next starrer.

Brian DePalma is directing from a script by David Koepp. The project, which is

targeting a summer start, is about a night in which a local detective witnesses

the assassination of the secretary of defense during a heavyweight boxing title

match. Paramount brought the DePalma/Koepp package into the studio in December.

Gibson had been circling “Sojourner” with Lawrence Kasdan at Disney. ICM reps
