IFP/West re-elects Boyle

Barbara Boyle will return as president of the Independent Feature Project/West, the largest organization repping the American indie film movement. IFP/West accounts for 4,500 of the roughly 8,000 national members.

Also returned to the executive board committee were producer Peter Broderick (vice president), producer Jesse Beaton (secretary), production exec Caldecot Chubb (treasurer) and members-at-large producer/director Peggy Rajski and producer Midge Sanford. New to the board and exec committee are producer Laurie Parker, writer/director Kevin Smith and screenwriter Howard Rodman.

Also new to the IFP/West board are filmmakers Wes Anderson and Kayo Hatta. The org annually presents the Independent Spirit Awards. This year’s noms will be announced Thursday, with the awards luncheon scheduled for March 22.
