Hughes bros. ink with CAA

Filmmakers Albert and Allen Hughes (“Menace II Society,” “Dead Presidents”) have signed with CAA.

They will be repped at the tenpercentery by David O’Connor, Joe Rosenberg and Kevin Huvane.

The duo had been repped by ICM, but their agent, Jeff Robinov, departed for a studio post at Warner Bros. in January. They had been repped by others at the agency since then.

The Hughes brothers next will direct “From Hell” for New Line Cinema. Pic is a period story about a murder investigation in Victorian England. The title comes from Jack the Ripper’s fourth letter, which historians believe was probably the only one from the real killer. The return address was “From Hell.” The project is greenlit for a September start.

They also are working on a documentary, “American Pimp,” about the men who coerce women into turning tricks.
