‘Homicide’ payback brightens ‘Bridges’

Paybacks are hell on Friday night

Last season, NBC’s “Homicide: Life on the Street” took a snide poke at its CBS timeslot competitor, “Nash Bridges.” Now it’s payback time.

Friday night’s edition of “Nash” will find Nash (Don Johnson) and Joe (Cheech Marin) encountering a raucous capital punishment protest at a courthouse. One of the protesters carries a sign that reads, “Thank you for not watching ‘Homicide.’ ”

At least they said thank you.
