FX opens weeknight slots for ‘X,’ ‘NYPD’

The Fox cablenet FX announced Friday that “The X-Files” and “NYPD Blue” would make their offnet premieres on Aug. 19, with “X-Files” going at 8 p.m. and “NYPD Blue” at 9. Each episode will be repeated the following day at 11 p.m. and midnight, respectively.

FX has 97 episodes of “X-Files” and 88 episodes of “NYPD Blue” at its rerun disposal. The two dramas will be restricted to FX on weeknights, with a broadcast station window available on weekends.
