AMSTERDAM — Twentieth Century Fox International Television has inked a megabuck output deal with TV4 Sweden, TV 2 Norway and Danish pubcaster TV2.The three-year exclusive deal was negotiated by TV4 in a buying pact on behalf of the three commercial market leaders. It gives each channel exclusive rights in their own territory to all new 20th Century Fox film and TV product, as well as some of the Fox library. Among the titles in the package are “Independence Day,” “Volcano” and “Titanic” and Steven Bochco’s last TV series for ABC, “Total Security.” The deal is the largest output agreement ever to be inked by any of the three state-chartered commercial channels, which often band together in a buying pact in order to increase their purchasing clout. No actual figure was available for the deal. Twentieth Century Fox International Television exec VP Marion Edwards, who negotiated the deal on behalf of the studio, could not be reached for comment.
