International interactive entertainment software associations and organizations will have a chance to exchange views on issues facing the industry at the E3 annual interactive industry trade show June 20 in Atlanta. The first-ever International Day event is sponsored by the Interactive Digital Software Assn. and Variety.“Our goal is to encourage the growth of the interactive entertainment software business globally, while exploring issues with worldwide ramifications for the business,” said Douglas Lowenstein, president of IDSA, E3’s organizer. “All of these issues have a significant impact on the industry worldwide and as such continue to be of critical interest to Variety and its global audience.” “We look forward to working with the IDSA to provide all E3/Atlanta attendees with a thought-provoking and insightful International Day program session,” said Gerry Byrne, Variety vice president and publisher.
