The new year might well start out with a number of producer moves. Douglas/Reuther, which has been on the Paramount Pictures lot for the past two and a half years, could leave the Par lot for new digs either at Universal or Warner Bros., sources said. Douglas/Reuther has also recently held talks with Samsung about entering into a financing deal.
Also, Ivan Reitman, who last produced ”Space Jam” for Warner Bros. and the Howard Stern project ”Private Parts” for Paramount, may end his association with Universal when his deal expires, sources said. If Reitman leaves, he could end up at Warner Bros., where he has a number of projects in development. He has just directed the ”Les Comperes” remake ”Father’s Day” for the studio. Regardless of where Reitman makes a deal, for the next two years he will likely stay in the elaborate Northern Lights headquarters that U built for the filmmaker. No decision has been made.
