‘Doll’ housed in ‘Kiss’ slot

Filling the vacancy left by the withdrawal of Zhang Yimou’s “Keep Cool,” the Cannes Film Festival has added Philippe Rousselot’s “The Serpent’s Kiss” to the competition lineup.

Irish-lensed British costumer “Kiss,” which stars Ewan McGregor and Greta Scacchi, previously was set to open Un Certain Regard on Thursday. It now will be replaced in that slot by an Indian entry, Ghotam Ghose’s “The Doll.”
