LAS VEGAS — Desert fever is having a curious effect on ShoWest attendees: Everyone here may be working, but their grammar isn’t.
In his keynote speech Monday evening, MGM chairman Frank Mancuso suggested a catchy slogan to get people out of their homes and into theaters: “The movies: There’s no place like it at home.”
Sony Pictures Entertainment’s luncheon Tuesday featured Columbia TriStar banners and gift bags that reinforced the them on the product reel: “Movies. It’s our life.”
And a wonderful life they are.
