De Mornay on ‘Pascagoula’

Rebecca De Mornay is stepping in for the pregnant Janine Turner on the USA Pictures Originals telefilm “Pascagoula,” which launches production this week in Houston, Texas.

The film, starring and co-written by Oscar-nominee William H. Macy (“Fargo”), casts De Mornay as “a con woman with a heart” who marries a man (Macy) who doesn’t know he is about to inherit a fortune. She does know and is looking forward to using his money to help her pay off her debts to the mob.

Offbeat comedy, set in Pascagoula, Miss., was co-written by Macy and partner Steven Schachter.

De Mornay is best known for her roles in “Risky Business,” “The Hand That Rocks the Cradle,” “The Trip to Bountiful,” “Backdraft” and the recently aired ABC miniseries, “Stephen King’s the Shining,” a remake of the 1980 film.
