Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc. veepee of corporate communications Anne Corley is ankling her post, effective Friday. The move comes as MGM is examining options to reduce its overhead.
MGM Inc. exec VP Bob Pisano acknowledged Corley for her job as company spokesperson during the studio’s recent sale by Credit Lyonnais to Seven Network and Tracinda Corp.
“She handled often difficult situations with consummate professionalism, cooperation and an exceptionally positive attitude,” he said.
Lea Porteneuve, formerly manager of corporate communications under Corley, is stepping up with the title of director. Special corporate matters will continue to be handled by Craig Parsons of Pondel, Parsons & Wilkinson.
Separately, Lori Cloud has been upped to VP of national promotions and corporate sponsorships. She continues to report to Karen Sortito, exec vice prez of worldwide promotions and corporate sponsorships.
