HBO's 4 channels resume operation

HBO’s Latin American Group’s four channels (HBOle, Cinemax, Warner Channel and Sony Entertainment TV), which had been cut off since Feb. 17, reappeared Wednesday on Metropolis/Intercom and VTR/-Cablexpress, Chile’s two main cable systems.

Negotiations on outstanding debts and new tariffs reached a satisfactory, albeit short-term, conclusion. The government is continuing its investigation into possible violations of antitrust laws by the two companies.
