All American taps Salob for production veep post

All American TV Prods. has named Lorin B. Salob vice president of production, reporting to David Gerber, president.

Salob, an Emmy Award-winning producer for the 1992 miniseries “A Woman Named Jackie,” also produced sev-eral other made-for-TV and cable movies, and from 1987-90 was a senior VP of production at New World Enter-tainment. At All American, Salob will oversee all production for network, cable, syndication and worldwide distri-bution.

Separately, All American gave a firm go to its new weekly series “Ghost Stories” with Rip Torn as host. Production by All American TV and New Dominion Pictures starts May 5. The show has cleared 70% of the country and is executive produced by Frederick Rappaport.
