Aladjem tops talent dept. at Writers & Artists

Coalition of foes plots to restore screeners

Norman Aladjem has been named head of the talent department at Writers & Artists Agency after two years working as a packaging agent for the company.

Aladjem is taking a newly created position at the agency.

Before joining Writers & Artists, Aladjem was an attorney and later headed his own personal management company.

Among the agency’s clients are William H. Macy (“Fargo”), Shawn Wayans (“Don’t Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood”), James Gandolfini (“Get Shorty”), Tisha Campbell (“Boomerang”) and Patrick Van Horn (“Swingers”).

“Norm brings a strong sense of leadership to the job as well as excellent relationships at all levels of the entertainment community,” Writers & Artists president and founder Joan Scott said in a statement. “He is a strong advocate of the importance of managers and lawyers as part of the actor’s team, and we plan to aggressively pursue and expand upon those key relationships.”
