Nascar Winston Cup champion racecar driver Jeff Gordon has signed with the William Morris Agency, where he will be repped by a team of agents, led by Gotham-based Raul Mateu.
The Morris office will rep Gordon in all areas of entertainment, including personal endorsements, publishing and image-based marketing. The move is designed to “expose both our sport and Jeff as a celebrity to a wider audience,” according to Bob Brannan, prexy of Jeff Gordon Inc. and J.G. Motorsports Inc.
Gordon, who has won 29 Nascar Winston Cup races in the four years he has competed in the series, won his first Winston Cup Championship in 1995.
TV producer/director Jeff Margolis has signed with CAA, where he’ll be repped by Steve Smooke and Alix Hartley. Margolis has directed eight Academy Awards telecasts, beginning in 1989. He received Emmy noms for directing the ’91-’94 kudocasts, and won the Emmy for the ’95 event.
His most recent project is “Quincy Jones … The First 50 Years,” which he produced and directed for ABC earlier this month.
Vincenzo Natali — whose feature directorial debut “Cube” won the Citytv Award for best Canadian first feature film at this year’s Toronto Film Festival — has signed with Endeavor. Trimark Pictures last month acquired the worldwide rights to “Cube,” a psychological thriller produced under the auspices of the Canadian Film Center’s Feature Film Project training program.
Actress and writer Nadia Dajani — who appeared in Fox’s “Ned & Stacey” and recently completed the indie feature “Dinner & Driving” — has signed with Innovative Artists, where she will be repped by Steven Levy and Nevin Dolcefino in L.A. and David Guc in New York. She contin-ues to be managed by Lee Kernis of SKS Management.
