Helmer Peter Hyams — whose credits include “The Relic,” “Timecop,” “Narrow Margin,” “2010” and “Outland” — has signed with Endeavor, where he will be repped by Steven Rabineau. Hyams has proven a hyphenate, often serving as a screenwriter and director of photography on the films he directs. He wrote, produced, photographed and directed “2010,” the sequel to Stanley Kubrick’s “2001.”

At ICM, Hyams was repped by Bill Block, who recently left the agency to join Live Entertainment.

Jimmy Darmody has been promoted to agent at CAA, working in the motion picture talent department. He earned his agent stripes after serving the last year on the desk of CAA managing director Kevin Huvane. Before joining Huvane, Darmody worked as the assistant to agent Patrick Whitesell, whom he followed to CAA from UTA in 1995.
