Bette Midler has officially fired her longtime agency, Creative Artists Agency, after putting them on notice last week (Daily Variety, June 5). She has not yet signed with another percentery. In the meantime, with the Bubble Factory’s deal ending at Universal, Midler’s All Girl Prods. — which had a first-look with the production company — is in the process of renegotiating to move the remainder of its deal to Universal Pictures, sources said. Under terms of the new deal, Universal will now pay All Girl’s overhead. What’s still unclear is whether the Bubble Factory will be receiving any kind of exec producing credit on films that her company produces.
