Mickey Webber

Character actor Murdo Albert (Mickey) Webber died May 13 of heart failure at Queen of Angels Hospital in Los Angeles. He was 78.

A native of Kansas, he moved to Los Angeles in the late 1930s and worked a variety of jobs while trying to break into the business.

Webber was working as an extra until seven years ago, when he finally landed a role in the feature “Manasour.” During the last seven years he worked consistently, landing at least two roles a year.

Film credits included “Ed Wood” and “Misfit Patrol,” which will be released later this year.

Webber is survived by a daughter, three sisters and four granddaughters.

Donations in his memory may be made to the American Heart Assn.
