John W. Stepan

Entertainment industry executive John W. Stepan died Feb. 23 of lung cancer at Cedars Sinai Hospital. He was 52.

Stepan began his career in the early 1970s as a producer for Dick Clark at “American Bandstand” and as a field producer for Berry Gordy at Motown.

He later worked as a sales executive for Video Gems, as VP of Phoenix Distributors and most recently as a sales exec at York Pictures.

He is survived by his sister.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society.
