Character actress Jeruth Persson, more commonly known as Ms. Jeri, died Aug. 8 of a heart attack at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. She was 72.
Persson danced on Broadway with Sammy Davis Jr. in “Golden Boy” in the 1950s. She also appeared in a handful of films including “Short Cuts,” “Sprung” and “I’m Gonna Git You Sucka.”
Persson appeared as a feisty elderly woman in various TV shows, including “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” “Martin” and “Sister, Sister.”
She is survived by a brother and a sister.
Services were Aug. 14.
