Jeffrey C. Ingber, longtime attorney for Neil Diamond, died suddenly March 19 of a heart attack at his home in Sherman Oaks. He was 52.
In addition to Diamond, Ingber represented such entertainers as Natalie Cole, Linda Ronstadt, Gladys Knight, Earth Wind & Fire, Donovan, Portrait and Keith Washington, as well as record producers (George Massenburg), management companies (Dan Cleary Management), and production (Smith-Hemion Prods., Ken Ehrlich Prods.) and publishing companies.
A New York native, Ingber began his career at Hardee Barovick Konecky & Braun, first in the firm’s New York office and later moving to its California office. He later joined the firm of Ziffren, Brittenham & Ingber, then Sil-verberg Rosen Leon & Behr, before opening his own firm.
He is survived by his wife, Lynn, as well as three sons, a daughter, his father, a brother and a sister.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the National Jewish Fund to plant trees in Israel or to AIDS Project Los Angeles.
