Florence Haley, the widow of actor Jack Haley and mother of film and TV producer Jack Haley Jr., died of natural causes Dec. 30, 1996, at her home in Beverly Hills. She was believed to be in her 90s.
Born Florence McFadden, she was a former Ziegfeld girl, dancer and actress who partnered with husband Jack in their hit vaudeville act Haley & McFadden.
Her late husband went on to film stardom and is remembered most as the Tin Man in “The Wizard of Oz.”
In addition to her son, she is survived by a daughter, Gloria, two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 3 p.m., Feb. 1, at St. Victors Church, 8634 Holloway Drive in West Hollywood.
