Four agents have joined the roster at Don Buchwald & Associates.
John Ufland, who co-founded Premiere Artists Agency in 1993, becomes head of Buchwald’s literary department. He began his career at CAA, where he was an agent trainee during the late 1980s. Ufland, who was also an agent at Camden-ITG and Stone Manners, is joined at Buchwald by his associate Debbie Deuble.
Deuble, who started out as a trainee under Ufland, was instrumental in bringing Caleb Carr (“The Alienist”) into the Buchwald fold. Ufland and Deuble also bring with them several feature and TV writers and directors, including Norberto Barba (upcoming telepic “Disaster at the Mall”), Michael Hitchcock (“Where the Day Takes You”) and Jeff Reddick (“Flt. 180”).
Susan Calogerakis joins Buchwald after 12 years as an agent at Paradigm and its predecessor STE. Working from the New York office, she will represent actors in film, TV and theater.
In Los Angeles, Karen Goldberg will handle movie and TV talent. She has worked for William Morris Agency in both New York and L.A., and at Premiere Artists. She brings with her Stacy Edwards (“In the Company of Men”) and Allison Mackie (“The Souler Opposites”).
