WB TV toons taps Lewis

Warner Bros. Television Animation has tapped Disney veteran Andy Lewis as senior vice president and general manager.

Lewis succeeds Joe Reilly in the No. 2 job at WB’s TV animation arm, although the post’s responsibilities have been expanded beyond business affairs to include oversight of day-to-day studio operations, production and administrative matters. Lewis reports to division prexy Jean MacCurdy.

In addition to managing the studio’s vast library of classic cartoons, WB TV Animation supplies the majority of programming for the WB Network’s afternoon and weekend children’s schedule.

Lewis spent the past eight years with Buena Vista Television, most recently serving as VP of finance and planning. Before joining Buena Vista, Lewis held financial management posts with Columbia Pictures Television and Viacom.
