U taps exex for human resources

Mark Halacy has been named VP, human resources development, and Jeremy Eskenazi has been named director, work force planning and strategic staffing, for Universal Pictures.

Halacy, who joins the studio from Blockbuster Entertainment Group, is responsible for coordinating a wide range of human resources re-engineering initiatives and leading work-force planning and organizational development efforts companywide.

Eskenazi’s responsibilities include supporting staffing needs across the organization through shared resources, effective recruitment strategies, work-force planning/internal staffing, and a comprehensive college and community relations effort.

Eskenazi joined U’s recreation group in 1994 as director of professional staffing, where he was responsible for developing and implementing staffing strategies for the group, including the theme park business.
